Microsoft launches Office for iPhone, Android devices



As part of their efforts to improve productivity,ensure customer satisfaction and improve users’ experience, Microsoft has lauched new applications for Iphone and Android users.
This is coming as the Corporation has updated some application for Ipad tablet users and presented an expanded look at the new “touch-optimized” Office for Windows 10.
The Corporation has launched new Office applications for Iphone and android users and an updated application for Ipad users thereby giving users of these devices ability to to create and edit Office content without a subscription.
 “Anytime someone has an idea or an inspiration, we want to empower them to take action. “With over a billion Office customers worldwide, and over 40 million downloads on the iPad, it’s clear that Office applications are what people want to use to get things done,” Corporate Vice President, Office, Microsoft, John case said.
With the launch of the new Office applications, iPhone and Android tablet customers can tap into the same experience that people with Office for iPad have enjoyed.

The new Office for iPhone apps for Word, Excel and PowerPoint offer the same iPad experience, optimized for the iPhone, Case said.

A preview of Office apps for Android tablet brings the productivity of Word, Excel and PowerPoint to Android tablet customers.

Customers get the best value and a complete set of features from an Office 365 subscription, including one terabyte of OneDrive online storage — with unlimited storage on the way.

By subscribing, customers join a community of over 7.1 million active Office 365 Home and Office 365 Personal subscribers and unlock the full productivity power of Office on every device they have.
 The new Office for iPad and Office for iPhone apps are available in 29 languages and 136 countries including Nigeria. The apps require an iPad or iPhone running iOS 7.0 or later.
The Office for Android tablet preview is available while general availability is expected in early 2015.

Abia 2024: Imo Stars in Aba, host Stars Hangout

Ahead of the Imo State University Alumni Association National Convention coming up in August, all hands are on deck to ensure that the event would be a tremendous success.  Specifically, Imo Stars resident in Aba have announced a Stars Hangout in a bid to have fun, foster relationships and galvanise support for the forth coming  National convention.  It is on record that the Local Organizing Committee are working round the clock to make sure they leave no stone unturned in a bid to carry everyone along. In a statement forwarded by the Chairman, Abia Distinctive Chapter, Mr. John Chika Ogbuji, the Stars' Hangout is slated to hold on 27th May, 2024 at Tiger Bar opposite Abia State Polytechnic Aba.
