IMSUAA Abia Chapter to mark first anniversary in style

Barring any last minute changes, Imo State University Alumni Association, Abia Chapter will mark her maiden anniversary in grand style. The first anniversary celebrations which will also provide a platform for the association’s end of the year is tagged ‘Stars’ Hangout’ is expected to bring together graduates of Imo State University from all walks of life. In a statement issued to newsmen in Umuahia, the Abia State capital, the Chairman, IMSU Alumni Association, Abia Chapter, Mr. Crespo Epuzoaju noted that the occasion will afford members of the association an opportunity to socialize, network and build bridges for stronger business and personal relationships. According to him, the event will give the executive officers of the association the opportunity to render account of their stewardship in the past one year and also provide a platform for fresh graduates to network and socialize. IMSUAA Abia Chapter restates resolve to join the fight again corruption

As Nigerians joined their counterparts across the world to mark World Anti- Corruption Day, Nigerians have been called upon to support governments at all levels in the fight against corruption. This is as government has been charged to ensure they tighten laws and instruments that will ensure corruption is curbed. Chairman, Imo State University Alumni Association, Abia Chapter, Mr. Crespo Epuzoaju who made this called in Umuahia, the Abia State Capital highlighted the need for every right thinking Nigerian to join the fight against corruption. Mr. Epuzoaju who used the occasion of the anti-corruption day to intimate journalists on what the association has been doing in this regard noted that the association will hold her end of the year party which will also form a platform to mark the association’s one-year anniversary. Sunnyblac The Distinctive Abia Chapter of Imo State University Owerri Alumni Association has visited Daughters of Mary, Mother of Mercy (DMMM) Compassionate Home, Ahiaeke, Abia State with a call to Nigerians to revive their spirit of giving to the less privileged and orphans. This is even as the chairman, Abia Chapter, IMSU alumni association, Mr. Crespo Epuzoaju, has enjoined organizations and corporate entities to be more magnanimous in giving to the less privileged. Mr. Epuzoaju, who commended the caregivers in the Compassion Home for taking care of  the children very well, stressed that the charity visit was part of the association’s obligation as a corporate organization. ENERGY: Worried by the incessant power outage within Umuahia and environs added to the unavailability of pre paid meters,electricity consumers lamented their plight to this reporter. In a bid to find out the true situation of things from the distribution company supplying Umuahia with electricity this reporter sent a question to them. Using their twitter handle @enugudisco, this reporter complained to the company of inadequate pre paid meters insisting that when consumers visit their Umuahia office, some members of staff there inform them that they are yet to receive any from Enugu. 24 hours later, the company replied stating that actions were underway to give smart meters to consumers.
