IMSU ALUMNI UPDATE: ALL SET FOR ABIA CHAPTER ELECTION

Barring any last minute changes,  Imo State University  Alumni Association, Abia Chapter also known as Distinctive Chapter,  will hold her maiden general election and inauguration of new executives on Sunday, November 4, 2018.

This is even as the electoral committee is working round the clock to ensure not only a hitch free election but also inauguration of the new excos by national executive council.

A statement signed by the Chairman Electoral committee, Mr. Chidiebere Kalu and made available to newsmen in Umuahia,  the state capital puts the venue at First Point Hotel, No 1 Abiriba by Finbarrs street while time is 1pm prompt.

Mr. Kalu who called on aligible members to pick Expression of Interest forms listed positions that will be contested for.

According to him, the positions include chairman, vice chairman and secretary.

Others are assistant secretary,
financial secretary, publicity Secretary/ PRO, Director of Social /welfare officer, treasurer and Legal adviser.

Speaking further,  the chairman stressed that Expression of Interest forms closes on Saturday, November 3 2018 while accreditation will begin by 1pm on Sunday. 

Recall that the national president Enyioha Chris Anyanwu had mandated all chapters yet to elect their executives to do so quickly.

In that line,  Lagos had conducted their election where Prince Ezeala Akano emerged as the president. Also, Owerri the mother chapter, Abuja and Rivers have all conducted their elections.
