Kaduna govt imposes curfew


The Kaduna State Government has imposed a 24 hour curfew on the Kasuwan Magani community.

Security forces have been deployed to contain an outbreak of violence in the community which is located in Kajuru Local Government Area of the state.

The 24-hour curfew takes immediate effect from today, a statement by Samuel Aruwan , Senior Special Assistant to the Governor (Media and Publicity) said.

ABIA 2024: Proper Planning, Team Spirit key to successful hosting - Porpor, former FCT Chairman

Ahead of the 7 th Imo State University Alumni Association, (IMSUAA) National Convention, a former chairman, FCT Pacesetter Chapter, Mr. Charles Nwosu has enjoined the Local Organizing Committee and members of Abia Distinctive Chapter to take the coordination and organization of the forth coming convention as a personal project, insisting that an excellent team spirit and can do spirit will ensure massive success of the convention. Nwogu who listed some of the pitfalls to avoid while organizing the Convention to include lack of proper planning, inability to carry every member along and high handedness on the part of the organizers. FREEDOM AT LAST (1) F reedom is a very relative concept. Much as humans want freedom (as free as air or bird kind of thing), therein lies alot of responsibilities. As an adolescent, I practically fought to be free from the clutches of my parents and ‘enjoy’ the good things of life like my peers. I grew up not playing as much football as I wanted. Once I heard the sound of my mother’s milk- coloured Peugeot 504 then, I would race up the stairs three at a time, though I was bow legged; and it was often. The only opportunity I had to be free was when we were enrolled for evening lessons in some place a long distance away from home. We were given some money for our transport, but we preferred to walk the distance with friends as a group with.
